For example, my Calc II class was online with in-person tests. A lot depends on your professor and how they will evaluate you. Oddly, Calc II was the only of the three in the sequence that I got an A in. And remind yourself that it is ok to 's ok to have a bad homework, or quiz, or even test.the important thing is that you see the professor or TA about it and figure out where you went wrong. Getting help is your best chance at both learning the most you can and doing the best you can. Yes, you could learn it by doing zillions of problems and reading the book over and over.but if it's a subject you've struggled in in the past, this method alone is likely to leave you feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and stuck. If reading isn't your strong suit, you could probably get the same effect by staying ahead of your class in these as you could by reading ahead in your textbook. If you're not comfortable talking to people in person or you're unlucky enough to have a bad professor, there are lots of forums (of course, you'll want to look for understanding the principles here, not for people to do your homework for you) and even videos from other schools. Even if you don't understand the material when you look it over on your own, at least when it's taught in class you'll recognize the terms the professor is using and have a basic idea of where he's headed. Read ahead in your book try to stay one class ahead. Also, standard advice: go to office hours early and often. Some schools have a free math help center for intro math courses - it can't hurt to look into that. It's hard as a transfer student, but if you can make friends in your class who you can study and do homework with, learning the material will be much easier.
This may help you feel less intimidated - remind yourself that you do know some of this and that you have learned some calculus and that you can learn more.
